"American Freedom Corvette Caravan"

                                Amarillo Area Corvette Club Honors Our Public Servants And Military                          

            Freedom Is Not Free

The Amarillo Area Corvette Club.  wishes to extend an invitation  any Corvette enthusiast to join us on Friday September 11, 2009 for our eighth annual American Freedom Corvette Caravan. 

On September 11, 2001 the United States of America experienced a tragedy that none of us want to see again. The Amarillo Area Corvette Club does not want that day to be forgotten. Our annual America Freedom Caravan is our way of attempting to keep the events of that day in the forefront. 

We salute those that have, those that are, and those that will provide this country with protection of our freedom. Those groups include our military, police, and fireman that lay their lives on the line each day for our freedom. 

If you own a Corvette we want to invite you to join us September 11, 2009 for the caravan. We start gathering at Westgate Chevrolet, I-40 and Coulter Amarillo, Texas at 4:00 PM. There will be food available, ceremonies at 5:30 PM, and a drivers meeting at 5:45 PM. Caravan leaves at 6:15 PM. We should return to Westgate no later than 8:00 PM.The public can watch throughout the city as the caravan passes by many of the cities fire houses and The Veterans Hospital. 

This is the Corvette Club way of saying:

                        WE WILL NOT FORGET!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are a Veteran, active military, or reservist, we want you to come out before the cruise so that we may get acquainted with you, and recognize the service you have, or are currently providing for our country. We appreciate all service personnel, and hope you can join the fun at Westgate Chevrolet on September 11th.

We really need out of town Corvettes, please join us. This is a free event with a police escort caravan winding through the streets of Amarillo. Join in a salute to all who serve us. Please pre-register using the below form so we can get an idea on the numbers to prepare for.
